Nevljica

Nevljica is a river in the Kamnik municipality, Slovenia. It comes out under Kozjak and flows through the Tuhinj Valley. It also flows through the village of Nevlje.
Many bones of an ice age mammoth were found by Nevljica river in this village in 1938. These bones, remains of a raindeer and one small Paleolithic tool made of stone were all found at this site and were dated to around 20,000 — 18,000 B.C.. A bridge, built on this spot was named Mammoth bridge. Old village people still remember the excavations that attracted even foreign researchers and scientists, and they tell this story to their grandchildren.
