Netezza Performance Server

The Netezza Performance Server is a network attached data warehouse appliance currently sold by Netezza.

As an appliance, it includes an embedded copy of Linux, a customized version of the open source PostgreSQL relational database, built-in storage, and an embedded processor system.

The Netezza Performance Server appliance competes with similar offerings in the data warehouse appliance market from Teradata, Greenplum and DATAllegro.

Based in Framingham, Mass., Netezza has offices in Washington, DC, the United Kingdom and Asia Pacific.
