I don't know enough about but what about this very different water scorpion mentioned here?: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4486830.stm
- That link matches the one in the article (in subject) which means that the article shouldn't mention it at all. The creature the article discusses is an actual aquatic scorpion, not a 'water scorpion' water bug.

If I'm not mistaken, that section is entirely irrelevant & I'm removing it. This page deals with Nepid "Water Scorpions", which are a kind of insect. Hibbertopterid Water Scorpions were arachnids & were indeed related to terrestrial scorpions (although somewhat distantly).
