Hello. I've been editing Wikipedia anonymously since 2006. This year I finally caved and made a User Page.
[edit] My Profile
My interests include the following:
- Biology
- Zoology
- Botany
- Ecology
- Genetics
- Paleontology
- Astronomy
- Particle Physics (Only the really basic stuff)
- Speculative Biology
Miscellaneous Points: I like Paintball & Fencing (I'd even like to see a merging of the sports someday). I'm particularly interested in hybrids, I know a lot about them, I've edited the article correspondantly, and I'm tired of hearing about people who think that intergeneric hybrids are impossible. I think time doesn't really exist (the logic behind this: The past existed at some point, but it existed in the state of the present and it no longer exists. The future will exist, but when it does it will exist as the present, and it doesn't exist yet. If there is no past & future, there can be no time. Time is a human-invented abstract concept to understand that which has happened, is happening & might/will happen.). I believe in God & Evolution (Theistic evolution).
[edit] Chameleon Dragon
This is a creature I invented long ago (when I had a lot of free time), based on a toy (of all things!). The name stems from it's resemblance to chameleons (cranial ornamentation, turret-mounted eyes, long tongue & ability to change color). I basically mixed a bunch of Dinosaurs & other creatures together, though it's not a hybrid. The most important aspect of the creature is that, although it's EXTREMELY unlikely, it's not outside the bounds of possibility. This particular illustration has a few inaccuracies, but they are of limited importance (except for one) & include the following: the wings are WAY too small (the only important inaccuracy), the wing digit formula is incorrect (1 & 2 should be on the leading edge, 3-5 should make up the membranous portion), the bony structures (horns & armor) should be white (bone colored) or dark (keratin colored) because bone can't change color, the bright colors should be on the body in a panther chameleon pattern, there should be loreal & labial heat pits on the face (like a snake). The creature has many more features than those that can be seen in the illustration (those are just the external features, and some aren't even obvious).
