Talk:Nepheline syenite
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I merged 'nepheline-syenite' with 'nepheline syenite' after noticing the hyphenated version on the list of igneous rocks. I also cleaned out a great deal of the bulk of the 1911 Brittannica stuff. There's a lot to do here also because since the last 100 years, petrology and geochemistry has advanced enough that a lot of these rocks are no longer recognised by the IUGS; alnoites for instance are also put under melilitic rocks, and certain other varietal names are no longer in use. [edit] ultrapotassic?
I don't think nepheline syenites are ultrapotassic...
what's your opinion about nepheline pseudoleucite syenites? and what's your criteria for ultrapotassic rocks?
