I hate this effin' prat. 90.198.232.228 (talk) 01:22, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Neil Burgess was appointed the job of ficticious Cillit-man Barry Scott by answering an advert in the paper asking if you can deep throat the gear stick of and Austin Mini Metro.
erm....right...clean up on that anyone?
Watch how it gets this penny, GOOD AS NEW :o~~ Jontce 28 June 2005 13:58 (UTC)
I don't want to correct you as you are English and thus every other anglophones superior, but I think the actual words were: "Look what it did to the penny, GOOD AS NEW".
Hmmm... it looks like you are half-Welsh, this explains the mistake ;pD'Iberville 06:06, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
- Cheeky! Maybe I should strategically edit out that part of my profile ... :( -- Jontce 13:04, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
I'VE GOT A NICE SHINY TUPPENCE! --Stevefarrell 18:33, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm certainly not one to want to vandalise a page of information, but I just couldn't help thinking about adding the word 'hated' into the sentence "...is an actor best known for his portrayal of the hated character Barry Scott in the UK version of ..." - I seriously want Cillit Bang to fail as a product, just because of the way that their product is being spammed all over the internet. Barry Scott is a human plank, as marketing inventions go. --Mart Owen 04:46, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
I think we need a picture of him.
LEGEND!!!!!!! Look how it gets this penny.. Good as new!!!

[edit] Tidied
- I tidied up the page... and got rid of this "His appearances on television often cause viewers to turn down the volume of their television sets. He bathes a penny in Cilit Bang and he looks "good as new" after 15 seconds." It is funny but not decessary. Kudos To whoever wrote it. Swedishdave 09:11, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Look what it does to this penny though Swedishdave, GOOD AS NEW!--Pudduh 21:49, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Neil Burgess's brother-in-law
88.108.125.72, placing personal comments into the body of a Wikipedia article is inappropriate. Could you perhaps find a verifiable source that shows where Neil was in fact born, etc., and correct the article appropriately, referencing that, instead of adding unverifiable claims in inappropriate places? Cheers, Stannered 12:23, 18 December 2006 (UTC) i have a personal coment bollocks to scott —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.142.243.249 (talk) 23:57, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bob And Weebl?
I assume you mean Weebl and Bob, so please get your facts right next time —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 195.40.4.49 (talk) 13:28, 21 March 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Latest amends
I've amended the details of where Neil grew up and went to school - Portsmouth was way off. I've also put a bit in about his Sunday League football career, which is how I know him.
He's not from Manchester, but I'm not sure how to edit that.
Neil does a cracking impression of the old rugby league commentator Eddie Wearing. I know Barry Scott is a knob, but Neil's a smashing bloke.
[edit] Jill
I'm not sure who thought the actress who played Jill was someone from Byker Grove... I personally know that is not true! 12.47.208.50 16:34, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nazi
"Lately he has been building up an extensive reference collection of Nazi memorabilia which he intends to donate to charity."
I have just removed this unsourced claim from the article, since linking a living person with Nazism is potentially libellous, as per the policy on Biographies of living persons, which states: "Unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material about living persons — whether the material is negative, positive, or just questionable — should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion".
