Hi Nay,

If the tongue touches the velum, then that's a velar click. Or do you mean that the tongue can't form a rarified pocket of air at the velum? Anyway, that's not what the article claims: a uvular click is simply one where the rear closure is uvular. It has recently been found that for Nǀu all clicks are uvular.
