Note, several of these test examples are not supposed to look good colourwise. Their purpose are to show the functionality and to test that everything works correctly.

A navbox where the two top groups are rendered by the navbox, then a subgroup in list1, and a subsubgroup in list1->list10.

I guess technically this template should be named "Navbox subgroups" in case someone thinks a separate template is needed for each subgroup..? Thanks for this template, I think it's neat. Sardanaphalus 17:49, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

I've now renamed the template (and doc page) as above. Sardanaphalus 19:45, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

I've moved this template back to the original, singular name. This is because the template will be used within individual groups. That is, for each group that needs subgroups, there will be one navbox subgroup template. This makes things easier to discuss for templates that need multiple navbox subgroup templates. Plus, it matches with the "old" {{navbox generic subgroup}}. ~ Paul^C/_T+ 03:10, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Navbox subgroup with columns

I wonder if it would be possible to do a "vertical" version of this template with "'sub'columns" instead of subgroups similarly to how {{navbox}} and {{navbox with columns}} are setup. That is, I'd like to use a normal navbox and include subcolumns in say the 1st and 4th "list". Doable? ~ Paul^C/_T+ 03:10, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

I added the above and below parameters (mirrorring their use in {{Navbox}}). I haven't touched any existing parameters, so nothing should break (and from my limited tests, nothing does). But if anything untoward happens, please let me know. if you need to revert my changes, please revert my changes to {{Indian Premier League}} as well. --soum ^talk 08:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
