Nathan Horton (born May 29, 1985 in Welland, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian ice hockey center who currently plays for the Florida Panthers of the NHL.

[edit] Playing career
After two highly successful years with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, Horton was drafted third overall by the Panthers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. In his first professional season, Horton appeared in 55 games for the Panthers, scoring 14 goals and 8 assists for 22 points. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Horton played for the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL.
Horton improved his offensive totals in each of the next two seasons, with a career-best 62-point season (31 goals, 31 assists) in 2006-07. In the summer of 2007, Horton signed a six-year contract with the Panthers that will pay him $24 million (USD).[1]
