[edit] Critical Reviews

NASCAR 99 received mixed reviews upon its release. The game was praised for its realistic graphics regarding the cars, although critics felt that the other graphics were "lacking". Also, critics stated that the game was "repetitive and boring," mainly because of the 17 tracks included in the game, only 2 are road-courses (Watkins Glen and Sears Point), and the rest are a mix of ovals, tri-ovals, quad ovals, and short tracks (There's only 1 night course, and it's Bristol Night). The game also garthered some criticism from some gamers who felt that was too "simulation oriented," meaning that it focused too much on the elements of NASCAR, such as the fine-tuning of the handling the car. These gamers seemed to favor the more open racing style of racing, such as in the Gran Turismo series of video games. In this game you cannot create a car.

[edit] NASCAR 99 LEGACY

  • In NASCAR 99 LEGACY this changes are:Dale Earnhadt Jr in the cup car, and the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The opening has changed as well, with the "I'm faster than you, and I can prove it" challenge as told through the Legacy of NASCAR.‎
  • Nowadays, this game is very rare.
