The Sam-Taeguk (三太極) is a popular variant of Taeguk, the Korean cognate of Taiji, the Taoist concept of yin and yang, from which all is actualized. Red symbolizes yang, or heaven, blue yin, or earth, and the yellow lobe represents man.
