[edit] Tall Armenian Tale
Murad Gumen is claimed to be the creator of the controversial Web site Tall Armenian Tale,[1] whose purpose is to convince its readers that the Armenian Genocide is a lie. The site is highly pointed in tone and contains passages that describe Armenians as lemmings, and inherently traitorous.[2] The Gumen link was discovered after the historian Taner Akcam, whose work and character are assailed in Tall Armenian Tale, investigated a letter that the site's author claimed to have sent to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.[3] The version posted on Tall Armenian Tale was left unsigned whereas the original, held in the museum's archives, was signed Murad Gumen.[4] The creator of the Web site, who uses the pseudonym "Holdwater", has declined to confirm or deny that he is Gumen.[5]
