Mt Albert Railway Station is in the suburb of Mount Albert on the Western Line of the Auckland railway network, near Unitec, a local teritary education provider, and is a popular with Unitec students. It has an island platform and is reached by a footbridge from Carrington Road and a subway between Willcott St and New North Rd.

- 1880: Opened as one of the original stations on the North Auckland Line.[1]
- 1908: A signal box was added.[1]
- 1909: A new station building was built, after the previous one was destroyed by fire.[1]
- 1920s: A siding to Mt Albert Quarry from the station is closed.[1]
- 1966: The line was double-tracked and many of the station's infrastructure (including the signal box) was removed. The signal box is preserved at MOTAT.[1]

The following bus services pass this station, allowing easy transfer:
- North-bound buses via New North Road[2]
- 210-212 to Midtown
- 223-224 to Midtown via St Lukes
- South-bound buses via New North Road[2]
- 210 to Avondale (see note 1)
- 211 to Avondale and Rosebank Road
- 212 to Avondale, Rosebank Road and Patiki Road
- 223 to Avondale and New Lynn
- 224 to Avondale, New Lynn and Henderson
- West-bound buses via Carrington Road
- East-bound buses via Mt Albert Road
- Note 1: Some route 210 services terminate at Mt Albert, and do not continue to Avondale.[2]
- Note 2: Some route 007 services terminate at Glen Innes, and do not continue to St Heliers.
