How do I add a category? I tried following instructions, doesn't seem to update.

After I add the category, how do I remove the warning on the page explaining that I need to categorize?

Thank you!

[edit] Fixed the categorization issue. More concerns for clean-up

I fixed the categorization problem.

Two further things with the article that need clean-up. They are closely related issues:

  • The article does not cite any references. Please browse these wikipedia polices by clicking the blue links:
  • Furthermore, the article seems to fall short of Wikipedia's guidelines for notability. The basic principle is that all articles must demonstrate that their subject is ALSO the subject of outside writing in reliable, third-party sources. Basically, what this means is that in order for Wikipedia to have an article on a subject, that subject needs to be covered by reliable sources (see link above) that are independant from the subject itself While the band's website is useful, it doesn't show that someone from the press cared about this band enough to write about them. Unless and until someone does, Wikipedia cannot verify (see above link) the information in the article, and the article stands a likelyhood of being deleted. Please provide these references if you can, and it will GREATLY improve this article. Since it looks like you are a new editor, drop by my talk page at User talk:Jayron32 and let me know if you need any help. I can try to help you clean this article up quite a bit if you can show me where to look for information (REFERENCES). Also, on talk pages, please sign your post by putting 4 tildes: ~~~~ at the end. [edit] Major clean up. Done the best I can.

OK. I have done the best to turn this into a Wikipedia article. Future concerns:

  • Before adding information to an article, it must be referenced to an outside source. What that means is if you want to add the sentance "She was born in Anywhereville, NJ on December 1, 19XX" then you need to find a newspaper article, or a book, or a website, or SOMETHING that says the same thing. You cannot just add information because you know it to be true. Truth is not what matters, verifiability is. Click the blue link to the left to learn more. Also, read the links I have left for you above. If you have any questions, please ask.
  • Notability is still a problem. I have removed the tag, but be aware that in the future, another editor will probably see major issues with the notability of this singer, since no one outside of wikipedia or herself or her management has published any review of her work. That is the primary criteria for notability. Someone outside of Wikipedia and outside of people that know or work with her must have noticed her work and written about it. That is what notability means, it means someone else noticed her, and wrote about her. I find very little evidence of this. Reviews of her work or performances would be GREATLY apprecieated, and if you could direct me to those, we can add information from them to this article. --Jayron32 18:35, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
