This article needs an image (preferably free) related to the subject, such as a picture of the set or a film poster. A possibility for American films from before 1964 would be a screenshot from the trailer, as these are now in the public domain. In the final sentence,

While forgotten in the US, it was shown on British TV in the early 1960's and given such good reviews that was actually released in the movie theatres.

The object of the pronoun "it" has become unclear. I assume it was intended to refer to the film version of Mourning Becomes Electra, but it sounds like it might refer to another film mentioned in passing.
