Mount Press

Mount Press (78°5′S, 85°58′W) is a mountain (3,830 m) just east of the main ridge of the Sentinel Range and 3.5 nautical miles (6 km) east-northeast of Mount Bentley, in the Ellsworth Mountains. Mapped by the Marie Byrd Land Traverse Party (1957-58) led by C.R. Bentley, and named for Frank Press, vice chairman of the technical panel on glaciology of the U.S. National Committee for the IGY; later (1977- ) White House Science Advisor.
