Morterone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50 km northeast of Milan and about 7 km northeast of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 38 – the lowest of any comune in Italy – and an area of 13.8 km².[1]
Morterone borders the following municipalities: Ballabio, Brumano, Cassina Valsassina, Cremeno, Lecco, Moggio, Vedeseta.
