  • Alright, I've nominated it for AfD. If you can prove why it deserves an article, including why it successfully meets the criteria for notability, it might not be deleted. Don't remove the AfD tag from the article. You can discuss the nomination, and why it should or should be deleted on this page. -- Consumed Crustacean | Talk | 20:15, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Do not delete the AfD tags or remove the article's entry from the main listing. Thanks. -- Consumed Crustacean | Talk | 20:48, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Actually, their lack of a label is precisely one of the reasons why they're not notable. The band fails WP:BAND on almost every level. And apparently an admin agree with me, as he or she actually does the deleting. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 08:44, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS is not a valid reason to keep an article. It just means those others slipped through the cracks temporarily. This band's article must stand on its own merits, which are apparently few by Wikipedia standards for bands. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 09:03, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Jason, here's a general rule of thumb about bands and notability: If they are a local band that doesn't have a song that's appeared on a recognized chart, they aren't signed by a major label or recognized indie, and their only references are MySpace or similar sites, then they aren't notable and will have their articles deleted pretty quickly. We get an unbelievable number of bands that basically write articles about themselves, or have fans that do so. I've seen five, not counting yours, in the past hour. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 09:10, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
