Where was "Bartlett" or "Fanny Bartlett" station? It seems to have been east of Wainscott. --NE2 21:24, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

The link in the full station list to Ridgewood station redirects to Wantagh (LIRR station). I highly doubt that this the intention. Larry V (talk | e-mail) 05:15, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jim Crow on the LIRR
According to the 1990 book "The Long Island Railroad in Early Photographs" by Ron Zeil, Wainscott Station was a segregated railroad station with Whites Only & Blacks Only facilities, in spite of the fact that segregation was illegal in New York State. [edit] NY 27 but not Sunrise Highway
Here's an incorrect quote on this article:
"1998 saw the closure of three lightly used stations: Center Moriches, Quogue, and Southampton College. Southampton College was temporarily reinstated in 2004, complete with a steel walkway over Sunrise Highway to the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, during the U.S. Open (golf) tournament."
The section of New York State Route 27 near the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club and former Southampton College Station is not Sunrise Highway, because Sunrise Highway was truncated west of there at Suffolk County Road 39, which it overlaps until just north of Montauk Highway. ----DanTD (talk) 02:45, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Is there some reason why the route map fills the full width of the page? At least on my browser, the maps for the other branches just run along the right margin, presenting a more attractive layout. Jim.henderson (talk) 15:00, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
