[edit] Farmingdale (LIRR station)
Can you please some inline citation for this article? Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 01:43, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- I mean inline citations to support the information in the article. For details see Wikipedia:Inline citation. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 01:55, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- The article at present is dependent on only one reference. It is generally a good practice to include multiple reliable sources for backing the information. I found the article interesting and since you are the primary contributor, I am asking you. I am not telling the station is not notable, I am telling you to provide some more references because it will improve the article. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 02:02, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] NYSR participants list
As discussed at WT:USRD, the participants list at WP:USRD is being split by state. Since your name has multiple states listed next to it, the designation "NY" has been removed from the large USRD-wide table, and your name has been added to the NY-specific table. This is part of the lengthy process. If this is in error, please let me know immediately. Regards, Rschen7754 (T C) 04:49, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] NYC Meetup: June 1, 2008
| New York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, elect a board of directors, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the last meeting's minutes).
We'll also review our recent Wikipedia Takes Manhattan event, and make preparations for our exciting successor Wiki Week bonanza, being planned with Columbia University students for September or October.
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
Also, check out our regional US Wikimedia chapters blog Wiki Northeast (and we're open to guest posts).

[edit] WikiProject Public Transportation in the Chicago Metropolitan Area proposal
I added a comment to your WikiProject:Chicago Area Public Transportation project request. GregManninLB (talk) 17:29, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Request to move article Hamburg Street Light Rail Stop incomplete
You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page Hamburg Street Light Rail Stop to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.
Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:
- Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
- Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
- Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.
If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 19:29, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ron and Amelia.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Ron and Amelia.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 11:24, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Kim Possible images
Yes, that's exactly the problem, the images are just used for decoration - they don't add anything that can't be described in text (WP:NFCC#1), there are far too many (WP:NFCC#3a), and removing them doesn't significantly reduce the reader's understanding (WP:NFCC#8). See WP:NFC for an overview of non-free image policy; this link is also useful. Black Kite 21:14, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
