Montecastello is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 km east of Turin and about 6 km northeast of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 352 and an area of 7.6 km².[1]
Montecastello borders the following municipalities: Alessandria, Bassignana, Pecetto di Valenza, Pietra Marazzi, Piovera, and Rivarone.
