Talk:Mojo Pin

[edit] Mojo Pin = Strawberry Street
I just removed this line: "In its earlier incarnation, the song was titled, "Strawberry Sweet". [1]" from the article.
This is an authentic reference, but it is to an interview with Jeff's mother, who, I believe was incorrect. There is a different song called "Strawberry Street" that Jeff wrote in the 1980's, at least five years before he met Gary Lucas; indeed, it is the musical antithesis of "Mojo Pin." I have removed this sentence because no information is better than misinformation, but I'm not 100% sure that Mary is wrong here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Petskypiyamaradu (talk • contribs) 23:43, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- The "Mojo Pin" and "Strawberry Street" connection was in the lyrics. When writing with Gary Lucas for the first time, Buckley started singing some of the lyrics from "Strawberry Street", but set to a different melody and chords, which eventually became "Mojo Pin" . I can't remember the exact reference, as it's been a long time since I researched the Jeff Buckley article, but it was in an interview with Gary Lucas. I'd have to find it again. dissolvetalk 00:09, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
