Miss North Carolina

The Miss North Carolina competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of North Carolina in the Miss America pageant. The competition has been held in Raleigh every year since 1978. Prior to that, it was held in various locales including Charlotte, Greensboro, Burlington, Wilmington, and Morehead City. North Carolina has once (1961) won the Miss America crown.
