and popular Punjabi and Urdu writer of current times. He is best known for his Punjabi literature. He has so far produced over ten books in Punjabi including short stories, novels and poetry. Beside his remarkable work in Punjabi, he has produced marvelous literary work in Urdu.

Mir Tanha Yousafi has won six awards for his work in Punjabi literature, he has been awarded "Masaud Khaddar Poach award" four times and "Razia Sultana Award" once. In 2005 he was awarded "Syed Waris Shah Award" award for his masterpiece in Punjabi literature by producing Kala Chanan. Kala Chanan is one of the biggest Punjabi novels written in the history of Pakistani Punjabi literature. His book "Aik Samander Par" is included as a text book in Punjab Technical University,Jalandhar,Punjab.
