[edit] Tube?
Is Mile End actually a "tube" station? ie, one with bored tunnels. Or is it "cut & cover"?
- It's cut and cover.
[edit] Reaching any station with only one change
I removed this snippet:
- ...it is unique as any London Underground station can be reached with a maximum of one change over, however with the exception of Chesham on the Metropolitan Line as 'through' trains only operate at peak times.
The consensus on the Tube Challenge forum was that this might conceivably been true at some point in the past, but Liverpool Street also satisfies this criterion (including for Chesham), and if you include the occasional through services to Olympia and Roding Valley, so do the entire Hammersmith and City and Jubilee lines and most of the Circle line. unsigned (User:Slovakia 23:22, 12 April 2006)
- I think it might be worth mentioning that it isn't true --Dtcdthingy 04:36, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Only xchange deep/cut
I am going to remove this. I have just been on the district line (cut and cover) and was able to do a cross-platform change at hammersmith to the pic line (deep level).
[edit] getting from any station to another in two stops if one of them is mile end
You write:
- ... It is possible to travel between any two stations on the London Underground making only two changes if one of them is at Mile End.
Is this really true? How would you get from Green Park to Borough making two changes, one of them at Mile End?
