    [edit] Dating the accident

Can anyone recall the exact year the concrete fell off the Towers? I think it was 1976 or 1977 but I'd like to be more exact. 23skidoo 16:19, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure why the bit about a person being killed in the collapse was removed as this was a legitimate part of the story, so I put it back. 23skidoo 13:31, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

The date of the tower incident was August 16, 1976 and occured at 6:15pm. The block of concrete fell from the West Side of the Tower. An article in The Saskatoon Star Phoenix dated August 17, 1976 outlines the incident. There was no-one injured or killed by the concrete. The slab fell through the ceiling of The Royal Trust. The mall was closed at the time of the incident and shoppers had already left the Plaza. 216.208.252.5 16:26, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Michele Kowbel

    • I just noticed this posting from several months ago and will add the citation - thanks. However I beg to differ that no one was killed. I remember clearly the news report that someone in the Royal Trust bank was struck and killed by the concrete. 23skidoo (talk) 19:19, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
