In addition, his claim to being the "fastest shredder of all time" doesn't seem to be a title or even a consensus.

This article reads like a fan copied and pasted most of it from various biographies from the internet, Especially under critism. Lots of parts need citing, and the article definatly needs some sprucing up Moitio ^(talk) 22:10, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

MAB did not nor ever claimed to be the fastest guitarist. Guitar 1 Magazine, April 2003 voted him the no. 1 fastest "shredder" of all time. Again, subjective "commentary" from misinformed people, who are not posting for accuracy but rather, their negative opinion.

This page is constantly vandalized and is not accurate.

Could someone explain what these inventions are? I can just about guess for the double guitar (especially seeing the photo), but I don't have a clue about the rest. Thanks. IronChris | (talk) 09:51, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I did a brief explanation of the string dampener in the third or fourth paragraph.

The quad guitar is like the double one except another one of those stuck on the bottom...to make four guitars in total. I don't understand what the point of the others are since he only has 2 hands, unless each guitar had a different sound.

I modified the sentence making note of the dampener, since it seemed to imply that he singlehandedly came up with the idea. I also corrected the bit saying that the dampener attaches to the nut of the guitar, which it doesn't. intooblv 11:11, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Is this string dampener really an innovation? I know string dampeners are being use a long time, in rock and heavy metal, and not because of MAB. Usualy guitarists use a hairtie or a sock (and I've seen them use tape) so open strings that resonate or are hit by accident can't be heard. By many musicians it is considered cheating because it makes irregular and rough guitar playing unnoticeable. I'll hope to find some sources later.--Emmaneul 15:09, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

This mentions a bunch of his tricks like playing two guitars at once, but his most famous trick is how he flips he hand back and fourth over the guitar neck. This should be added.

I believe this technique is commonly referred to (at least in his forums and by fans worldwide) as the "MAB over-under Technique." It can be seen in two separate occasions in the video for "No Boundaries", which can be found here. I would check with him first, maybe he has a different (and coined) term for that. This is subjective and ridiculous. A "bunch of tricks"? This phrase alone shows how stupid and meaningless, not to mention inaccurate a lot of this "commentary" on MAB is.

Reply: Yes he actually did use the original BC Rich Ironbird during his time with Holland, onstage and in his first instructional video.
