Your article Sherman and Stern Script Project has been deleted because it does not appear to be about anything notable (specifically a writing system used in a few schools). If this is in fact a notable system I suggest that you supply some references, to academic publications or major news organizations, to attest to its notability. See Wikipedia:Notability for more details about notability. DJ Clayworth (talk) 21:28, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Sherman and steren script project
A tag has been placed on Sherman and steren script project, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 22:02, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Do not recreate this page again or you will be blocked from editing, it is a copy of Shorthand with the addition of a non notable student created system. --Daniel J. Leivick (talk) 22:17, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Metallica
- You asked me why your article (mentioned above) was being deleted when 2000 people were using it. The answer is that Wikipedia is a worldwide encyclopedia, and in the big scheme of things 2000 people is not very many. A book read by 2000 people is virtually unknown; a computer game played by 2000 people is barely noticeable. There is also second point, which is that no references were offered to back up what was said in the article. What you need to do if you think your system really is notable is to find articles in the mainstream media (newspapers, TV news etc) that talk about this system. Alternatively wait until the system is better known and then write another article. If you want to reply to me please do so here - I will see anything you write on this page. hi thanks for responding so fast. i'm sorry that i didn't add the sources and that i didnt get all the correct information, the corect amount of users is 500,000. the 2000 that i mentioned is the information from 6 years ago.
- Sherman and Steren are still in high school, says the article. How old were they when this system had 2000 users? DJ Clayworth (talk) 20:26, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
