Men’s Fitness is a men’s magazine published by American Media, Inc. Founded in the United States in 1987, it was originally called Sports Fitness. The premier issue featured Michael Pare from the television show, The Greatest American Hero. The name of the magazine was changed to Men’s Fitness in 1988.

The Men’s Fitness slogan is “How The Best Man Wins”. The magazine targets men ages 18 – 34 and features in-depth articles and information on fitness, nutrition and sports, as well as sex tips, fashion advice, interviews, recipes and surveys. One of Men’s Fitness’ most noted contributors is Tanya Zuckerbrot, the magazine’s registered dietitian and columnist. In December 2006 she published a book called The F-Factor Diet.

Since its inception, Men’s Fitness has become one of the fastest-growing titles in its category and licenses its title and format to Russian and British editions. Circulation doubled between 1997 and 2003 and continues to expand. As of February 2007, circulation was 700,000.
