Melrose Hill, Los Angeles, California

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Melrose Hill is a small neighborhood within the city of Los Angeles, California, tucked away in an area of Hollywood near Hancock Park.

Melrose Hill is generally included in Hollywood, not in East Hollywood, which begins north and east of the 101 Freeway. Though the area's boundaries on Melrose Avenue have recently been designated by small road signs, few locals are familiar with it by name and consider it part of either Little Armenia or Koreatown, regions which border it on the north and south respectively. In January 2003, Los Angeles magazine deemed it one of the city's "10 Great Neighborhoods."

[edit] Education

Melrose Hill is zoned to schools in the Los Angeles USD [1].

Most residents of Melrose Hill send their children to private schools in the San Fernando Valley and central Los Angeles [2].
