The language in this article looks to have been lifted from a book somewhere. For example, "Sauma created quite a stir by celebrating the Syrian liturgy in the presence of the pope and the cardinals. He later repeated this at Bordeaux for Edward I. The cardinals in Rome had been more than a little surprised to learn that a Christian priest, a member of the patriarchate’s hierarchy, had come as an envoy from the “King of the Tatars”."

I'm pretty sure I saw this, verbatim, in a history book somewhere. I'll see if I can track down the source to check for sure. In the meantime, things could probably be improved by some copyediting here. --Elonka 19:01, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

One of the footnotes just says "Roux, p.469". But there is no mention of a book written by Roux in the references section. A book title somewhere would be good? ʄ!•¿talk? 19:56, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
