[edit] Colt seasons
Hey thanks for giving me some support. I was kind of wondering if our project went dead or something. Thanks again for the support, I owe you one. HoosierState 17:26, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Colts draft
Hey just letting you know List of Indianapolis Colts first-round draft picks is now up for FL status. See here for the discussion. HoosierState 03:29, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Indianapolis
Did you look at the diff? The only thing I deleted was some irrelevant filler. I made the section much more concise and added a lot of info. --L. Pistachio (talk) 19:11, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for the invite to join the Indianapolis WikiProject. I took you up on it! Whateverlolawants (talk) 04:14, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Anchorbox
You're talking about putting together and infobox for Indianapolis media people, correct? I can create a Category really quick (Category:Indianapolis television anchors). Oh and yes I stole your idea about the archieve, :). Congrats on the new baby by the way. It shouldn't take me more than 20 minutes to get all this done, so if you can stick around. HoosierStateTalk 02:04, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well I looked around and not even really famous TV anchors have a special infobox, most use Infobox Celebrity. I don't know if we should create an Infobox that only a handful would use and especially since Indianapolis news people aren't nationally known. I can still create that Category however. Hope this is not big deal. HoosierStateTalk 02:10, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm looks like there's already a category, Category:Indianapolis television anchors. Add-On after looking around I would suggest to just use Template:Infobox Person for the anchors. HoosierStateTalk 02:13, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Honestly I don't think seperate categories for each type of newsperson is needed. But if you want to thats cool. All you have to do to is type in Category:Indianapolis radio people (or something to that effect) into the search box. It will come up with a create a page thing and add a cateogory that the one you're creating is a sub of. Like Indianapolis people > Indianapolis news achors > Indianapolis radio people. You would only have to add Category:Indianapolis television anchors to your new page. Then of course add people into the category. If I confused you any, check here. HoosierStateTalk 21:05, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Maps
Usually I just use the same map for everything and just change the colors to whatever I want to represent (using the Microsoft Paint program). Basically all you have to do is click on on a map you like, change it all around and upload it. HoosierStateTalk 18:20, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- I just found one that I could use off of Wikipedia and edited it in paint. HoosierStateTalk 22:31, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- I remember now, I used the map on the WNBA page. HoosierStateTalk 22:51, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] LOS link
I love that link you added to Lucas Oil Stadium. Those are some great pics. --L. Pistachio (talk) 23:38, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Portal
Almost all of the "meat" of the portal is done. We need 1 more selected article and 2 more selected attractions then we can work on the "dirty work" (which is what I wanted Richard to help with). Portal:Indiana looks awesome and he did a lot of the layout/looks work. But we'll get there. HoosierStateTalk 00:42, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Haha..
Yeah, I agree it was a dumb argument. I just like DJ Khaled A lot, and he was trying to get his page deleted. I forgot that I could show him the billboard charts as you did. I am not the wisest guy on wikipedia, but I still wanted to show that Khaled was notable and not some nobody. Y5nthon5a (talk) 21:16, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Council
Thank you for stepping into that situation. I don't think this guy understands what I was trying to explain to him. HoosierStateTalk 21:42, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- I appreciate your groups interest in creating correct documentation for Indianapolis. I have no problem with it and think you have done an excellent job. I don't have a problem with any of the content. Indianapolis does however always post at-large councillors first on the lists. If you are looking for accuracy that is the proper way. I only ask that you post it the same way that the city does out of respect for the way the city does things. This is not a ridiculous request. It is not like I am asking you to change any content or the entire page.Ecoleman56 (talk) 22:14, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think we are going to resolve this matter mutually as your group seems to feel they own the rights to the page. As I don't know the full process I would ask that you bring in an administrator into this to resolve the dispute.Ecoleman56 (talk) 22:58, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Don't revert again Jason, you'll be in violation. I'm getting an admin to take care of this. HoosierStateTalk 23:06, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] CCC
Wow, I just saw what was going on with the City-County Council Article. Isn't it nice to know that one of our government officials (who I voted for, sorry to say) has nothing better to do than cause problems on Wikipedia because he wants to be at the top of a list? Nice job handling it the right way. --L. Pistachio (talk) 22:05, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Fever
Wow, when I read my emails I got to the Fever one and I almost flipped a lid. This is so awesome. Got rid of Whitmore and got someone like Katie Douglas are freaking kidding me!!! Great day! HoosierStateTalk 21:29, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Help!
- You can create something similar with {{archive top}} and {{archive bottom}}. When using {{border}}, you need to include the stuff-to-be-bordered as a parameter, like this. Algebraist 23:01, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- No prob! Best, PeterSymonds | talk 23:18, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- There are a couple of problems with your use of {{border}} at User:Jasont82/sandbox. Firstly, the text you want to include contains an = sign, which means the template thinks you're trying to give a parameter named (stuff before =) the value (stuff after =). Since {{border}} doesn't recognise a parameter of that name, it just ignores it. This problem, which occurs with many templates, can be fixed by declaring the parameter name explicitly: a template's first parameter has default name '1', so adding '1=' to the stuff in the template makes it work properly. Unfortunately, in this specific case, this still doesn't work; it looks like some markup (specifically :) breaks the template, but I'm not sure why. Algebraist 17:12, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Target Question
Hi, I have read your comments on Target Corporation page and i found it interesting. I've been doing the research on Target Corporation. It's almost done except for the part of international expansion. Where do you think Target Corporation should expend to and why?????? If you have time, please kindly talk to me. Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jinnyspin (talk • contribs) 09:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- I really have no idea. Besides, Wikipedia is not a forum. Sorry, though! -- JTHolla! 02:44, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Help Me (#2)
{{help me}}
Can someone look at Template:User_WikiProject_Indianapolis and tell me what's wrong with it? Something is wrong with the source code, and I'm not sure what it is, but it screws up any user boxes placed around it, so I know something has to be wrong with it. (Plus I made it, so that adds to my speculation that it's screwy.
Thanks! -- JTHolla! 03:07, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- I don't actually understand this stuff, but the main difference between this and the average userbox is that in most userboxes, the table is wrapped in a div with 'style="float:left"'. Adding that seems to make the template work. Algebraist 05:33, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RX 93.1
Hi:
I'm wondering why you keep recommending my article about Jumpstart from RX 93.1 in Manila for deletion? This is one of the highest rated and most popular radio shows in Manila.
I'm not sure what you have against me or the Philippines but please do not continue to delete my articles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MLBonTBS (talk • contribs) 01:22, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Hakeem 85 All Star Game.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hakeem 85 All Star Game.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Speedy deletion of Jasont82/B10Bracket
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- JTHolla! 15:13, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
