McAtee is a surname of Ulster origin.[1] The name is an Anglicisation of the Gaelic Mac an tSaoi, meaning "son of the scholar" or "son of the wise man".[1] Other related Anglicised names may be: MacAtee, MacEntee, MacYntie, and MacEtye.[2]
