I haven't seen the movie, but this statement strikes me as a rather subjective -- and even argumentative -- analysis, not an encyclopedic statement of fact. I think it needs rewritten to conform to NPV guidelines. CurToast 18:57, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Somebody should mention his first works -- Barefoot Boy With Cheek, Feather Merchants, and ??? These were written probably right after the war and, to my mind, are far better than the commercially successful later ones (Sleep Til Noon and Dobie Gillis).Papagec 16:19, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
