[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Frosthold2007.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Frosthold2007.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:32, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comment at User talk:Gregbard

I can't tell whether this edit was meant as a joke. — Carl (CBM · talk) 17:39, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Well it's as much of a joke as when he said it to me, I presume. ≈ Maurauth (Ravenor) 17:40, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
I see. Do you know which page that was on? I saw your comment on his talk page, but had no context in which to interpret it. — Carl (CBM · talk) 17:51, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
It was on an article that I wrote, he refered to my edits as "terrible terrible terrible". I am AGF as I hope he is too! I couldn't think that someone would make such an attack without cause unless it was intended to be humourous. ≈ Maurauth (Ravenor) 17:58, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't know who is writing the phase "very unique" but whoever it is may be a wonderful editor who did a terrible thing. Why is it so terrible? I never used to care about this type of thing. I'm no "grammar nazi" The problem is that I keep hearing it, and seeing it everywhere! It's so prolific that it requires a strong response.
I am sure you are a wonderful editor. You are also a unique editor. It is wonderful that you are a unique editor. However your are not a "very unique" editor because you can't be "very" one-of--a-kind.
I don't know to what degree it is a joke. I guess reality evokes humor. I think it was more rhetorical than anything else. So, I think we both agree it is as much of a joke as when the other said it. Be well, Gregbard 22:55, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Circlepit.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Circlepit.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn 22:38, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trivium Wikiproject

I don't know if you have noticed, but the Wikiproject was tagged as inactive. This would make sense- I was away for a couple of weeks, Asics seems to be taking some time off Wikipedia, and you weren't doing anything within the project. The remaining 'members' have never been too involved. So, are we active, or are we not? J Milburn 22:41, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Trivium

Someone tagged the project as inactive, and I think it is maybe best that we just accept that. WikiProject Metal has just been revamped and is pretty excellent- I say we all (all three of us) just move over there. There is no point having a separate infrastructure for just Trivium, and, as I say, there were only really the three of us anyway. J Milburn 14:15, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

I'd just like to state that if there's any active effort to improve a Trivium related article in future, then I wouldn't mind providing feedback at peer review. Instead of going for the main article, I'd go for a related article (album, song). Personally, I think the Metal peer review is going to be quite good :) LuciferMorgan 15:29, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
