Maurice Arreckx

Maurice Arreckx (1918 - 2001) was a French politician of the right-wing liberal UDF. He was mayor of the major city of Toulon from 1959 to 1985. He was president of the general council of Var department from 1985 to 1994. Arreckx was a senator. He received a prison sentence in 1996 for a major corruption scandal.
