Matthew "Matt" Hunwick (born May 21, 1985, in Warren, Michigan) is a professional ice hockey defenceman, playing for the Boston Bruins.

Hunwick attended the University of Michigan. During his senior season in 2006-2007 season Hunwick is serving as captain of the Wolverines. He served as alternate captain in 2005-2006.
Hunwick played amateur hockey with the Honeybaked Hockey Program.
On November 10, 2007 Hunwick played his first NHL regular season game with the Bruins, playing at home against the Buffalo Sabres.
