Mathmo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mathmo or MathMo is a term used in British University slang for one who studies Mathematics, particularly the Cambridge Mathematical Tripos.
The term likely derives from Cambridge University,[1] but is also used at Oxford;[2] as well as by students from other institutions with strong mathematical reputation, such as the University of Warwick.[3]
Other related terms include CompSci (Computer Science, pronounced as comp-skee) and Natsci (Natural Sciences, not used at Oxford since no such course exists there).
