Massapequa is also referenced to in the movie "Kate & Leopold" (2001) starring Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman. At the end of the movie Leopold announces who he is going to marry. He states that "It is Kate McKay of the..." and Kate quickly completes that sentence by saying "Kate McKay of the Massapequa McKays."

This section should be cleaned up - it's repetitive and disorganised. I think we should turn it into a bulleted list rather than paragraphs. Does anyone have any objections? --DearPrudence 16:45, 8 April 2007 (UTC) Agreed- by the way, what's with the one "Possibly Massapequa's..." which goes on to describe the senior (obviously vandalism/a joke)? It is not present on the "Edit" section whn i tried to remove it... But when i went back after 5 times, it was gone.
