[edit] Suggest merge

I suggest Mass gap and Yang–Mills existence and mass gap should be merged together. Reason: both articles are quite short, but Yang–Mills existence and mass gap actually contains more background information. Merging them together should be perfectly possible. 131.111.8.96 01:34, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

This is not a good idea, in my opinion, because mass gap is much more general than Yang Mills. The article is short because no one has done serious editing on it yet. Mass gap is a fundamental idea in quantum field theory, important for the decay at long distances of correlation functions, while "Yang Mills existence and mass gap" is a problem by some institute.Likebox 03:00, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
I agree with Likebox. The article defines the term "mass gap". Merging it with the mentioned article seems a bit arbitrary. --88.66.233.175 12:29, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm removing the merge. The mass gap is a basic property of all field theories, not just Yang-Mills. Akriasas (talk) 18:36, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
