Masuda (益田市 Masuda-shi?) is a city located in Shimane, Japan.
As of January 2008, the city has an population of 52,506 and the density of 71.62 persons per square km². The total area is 733.16 km².
The city was founded on August 1, 1952.
On November 1, 2004, the city merged Mino District (Mito and Hikimi).Therefore, the Mino District perished.
Iwami Airport is located in Masuda.
