[edit] Libelous Material Deleted

The following passage was removed from the Profile section:

"Mario Dumont is the kind of polite, smiling politician, a tall young man, who's not afraid to express his ideas. However, behind the cool guy lies hidden a dark truth which is an ideology close to fascism, far right ideals. Most of his political views are rather extremist, such as the ones concerning minorities and immigrants. He's been often compared to such luminaries like Jean-Marie Le Pen (France's leader of Front National), Pinochet and even to Hitler!"

Given the current provincial election in Quebec, it's clear that someone is trying to muddy the "Wiki-waters". Should they wish to stand behind what they're throwing, they should provide sources for such libelous and actionable statements. Moreover, the individual should use a proper academic structure (honestly, I've read better mudslinging scrawled on the men's room wall). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Darth karl (talkcontribs) 00:36, 25 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Profession Change

I have removed "Economist" from Dumont's profession list. To my knowledge, he has never been hired as an economist by a firm, think tank, or university. Merely possessing an undergraduate degree in a subject does not constitute have a profession in it. If this were the case, just think how many sociologist there would be! If anyone has any direct evidence that he has been hired as an economist, I would welcome its inclusion in the list.

On other matter, does anyone know about his early life. In particular, he has been involved in politics from an early age. How did he support himself? What other jobs did he hold? What was his family background? It would improve this entry if others who know about this would post it.

[edit] Mr. Dumont's personal electoral success.

I'd like to see the results for Mr. Dumont in his own personal district to be included into the article. Especially considering the 2007 Election section seems to have no personal mention of him at all. Just his party. Does anyone have the info in question on hand? Sima Yi 17:00, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
