Baldugiin 'Marzan' Sharav (1869-1939, Mongolian: Балдугийн 'Марзан' Шарав; marzan = strange, funny), was a Mongolian painter. He is often credited with the introduction of modern painting styles to Mongolia, but his most famous work, Mongolyn neg ödör or One day in Mongolia, is done in a more traditional style. Other well-known pictures are the portraits of the Eighth Jebtsundamba Khutugtu and his queen Dondogdulam.[1]
