Maryland Route 14 is a rural two-lane blacktop road totally contained within Dorchester County. Traveling from west to east, the road begins at Maryland Route 16 outside of Secretary and ends at the intersection with Maryland Route 313 at Eldorado. Spanning less than 12 miles, the road passes through the village of East New Market, the farming community of Rhodesdale, and Brookview. One will pass many grain fields and chicken houses, indicative of the economy of the Lower Eastern Shore.
