Prior to assuming her role as Luzerne County Commissioner, Maryanne C. Petrilla served the people of Luzerne County as Controller for one year.
Along with serving as an elected Row Officer in Luzerne County, Controller Petrilla was Secretary of the Luzerne County Retirement Board, which oversees $193 million in pension assets. She was appointed by Governor Ed Rendell to the Board of Directors of the White Haven Center. She also is a member of the Board of Directors of Northeast Counseling Services, and is a former member of the Luzerne County Municipal Cooperation Commission.
Prior to being elected to a position in Luzerne County Government, Petrilla was the Butler Township Manager for eleven years, during which she managed and administrated a balanced budget. Before this, she served as legislative aide to Representative Tom Stish for four years.
She is a graduate of McCann School of Business and Technology.
Petrilla and her husband, Jack, who are residents of Butler Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, have been married for 25+ years. They are the proud parents of two sons, J.P., 23, and Daniel, 21.
