Marky Cielo (born Mark Angelo Cadaweng Cielo on May 12, 1988 in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, Philippines) is a Filipino actor and dancer.

[edit] Pre-showbiz and Personal life
Cielo grew up in Butuan, then moved to Mountain Province in 2001. He speaks the Kankanaey, Ilocano, Tagalog and Bisaya languages fluently. When he was a young child, which was according to his real life story in Magpakailanman, Marky and his sister's parents were separated, then, their mother took care of them. He and his sister were abused and maltreated by their maid whenever their mother is at the work. When their mother saw her hurting them, she kicked their maid out of their house. He finally met his father only once in a lifetime. His worst memories as a battered child is somewhat compared to StarStruck survivor Jennylyn Mercado who was also a battered child.
[edit] Joining StarStruck
When his classmates convince Cielo to join StarStruck, he accepted to join. He won the Ultimate Male Survivor title and the first Sole Survivor title of Batch 3 of the reality TV show and he's the first Igorot ever to join that contest. Marky won an Antipolo house and lot at StarStruck contest and now lives in his new home.[1]
[edit] Showbiz Career
After winning StarStruck, Cielo has entered in show business. His first show was Fantastikids which stars Isabella de Leon and B.J. "Tolits" Forbes and then Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas. His two primetime shows which his two characters were killed off were Bakekang and Asian Treasures. Both of his two shows considered as Cielo's big break. The said network chose Cielo to be a protagonist in the Philippine remake of Uchuu Keiji Shaider as Alexis del Mundo or Shaider but Dennis Trillo and StarStruck Ultimate Hunk Aljur Abrenica added so the title Shaider was changed to Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan, a spin-off sequel to Metal Heroes in which he portrays Alexis Lorenzo or Zaido Green. He considered his show Zaido as his biggest break. He recently joined the casts of Sine Novela: Kaputol ng Isang Awit which stars Glaiza de Castro, Lovi Poe and Jolo Revilla. He is seen on the commercial of no-smoking campaign with Department of Health secretary Francisco Duque III.
