Mark Walsh is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and political activist. Walsh is CEO and Chairman of GeniusRocket,. Walsh is also the managing partner of Ruxton Ventures, LLC, a private equity and investment firm he founded in early 2001. He is also a senior executive fellow at the University of Maryland's Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship. His former jobs include CEO of VerticalNet, America Online corporate officer and executive, and president of GE's Online Service, called GEnie.

He is active in liberal politics; he was the founding CEO of Air America Radio and was the Chief Technology Advisor to the Democratic National Committee.

He graduated from Union College (Schenectady, NY) 1976 and is now a trustee of that college. He got his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1980. His first job was as a news anchor for a CBS affiliate in West Virginia.

Walsh is currently heard on XM Satellite Radio's Left Jab, a weekly political radio show.

Mark Walsh has appeared on MSNBC's Hardball and other news shows to take part in political discussions.
