Marius Nacht

Marius Nacht (Hebrew: מאריוס נכט) is an Israeli programmer and entrepreneur. He is a founder, director and Senior Vice President of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd.
Nacht earned a B.Sc. cum laude in physics and mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1983, and an M.Sc.in electrical engineering and communication systems from Tel-Aviv University in 1987.
Nacht has served as a director of Check Point since its inception in 1993. In 1999, he was appointed Senior Vice President. Since 2001, he has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.[1]
Before founding Check Point, Nacht spent nine years in the Israeli Air Force. [2]He was a software development manager at Optrotech and co-founded the Graphic Arts Division.
In 1993, together with Gil Shwed, he invented and patented Stateful Inspection, now a de facto standard technology.[citation needed] He was also one of the developers of FireWall-1, the company's software solution.
