Marcus Dent is a fictional character on Coronation Street played by Charlie Condou
Marcus is a Sonographer at Weatherfield General Hospital, he was introduced when Violet Wilson went for a scan. He gave his number to Sean Tully who was also present at the scan. The two started dating but Sean was unsure how the relationship should progress. Sean tricked Marcus into revealing the sex of the baby to him after he wanted to know and Violet didn't. This led to a rough patch in the relationship, but was overcome and the couple remained together happily, Marcus and his partner Sean delivered Violet and Seans son when Violet went into labour in The Rovers on 22nd February 2008. He was at the side of Maria Connor as she gave birth to her stillborn baby. On 10th April it was announced that Marcus would leave Coronation Street in Summer 2008, as part of a love triangle storyline. [1]
