Hi, schwa can be stressed in Welsh. ʌ is really a back vowel, but the Welsh vowel is central. It's an idiosyncrasy of English-speaking linguists to use ʌ to symbolize the vowel of strut even in accents (like American English) where the vowel is central. Angr 17:09, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Outer Comstock references

I do not know anything about your community, but a few careful google searchs should pull up a good batch of references. Say you wanted to reference the fact the church was built in 1912 (I'm not saying it was) search "Outer Comstock" Church 1912 Also, any books on the local area would be good, as would local newspaper reports. Doing this also helps find any information you missed. Be careful with google searches- only reference reliable sources. Check out Wikipedia:Sources for a look at sources in general. I speak from experience, I myself referenced all of the Askam and Ireleth article, which is the village I come from! Message me if I can be of any help. J Milburn 22:10, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
